The decision to become a chiropractor came during her first career as a wildfire fighter for Alaska Division of Forestry. During that time and for years previous, Gloria had severe migraine headaches, which when they hit 2 to 5 times a year, would last for days. This began after a car accident. She was unable to function during these episodes, and family and work would be on hold. She went to a chiropractor for her first adjustment, it was painful and she was sore for a few days after. She called to cancel her follow-up, and the doctor convinced her to give it another try. Gloria's 2nd treatment was much better, and she was able to get 2 more treatments in before getting sent out to work for several months. Her headaches were gone and have never been back. That was 30 years ago. This had such a profound affect on her that she knew that it was time to go back to school and begin an exciting profession, a way of helping people that could change their lives.
